Mo-chit Bus Terminal serves much of Thailand, including the North-East. It is a short taxi ride away from Mo-Chit BTS Skytrain stop or from the Chatuchak MRT Subway stop. Bus

BY TRAIN

Duration: It varies greatly. Bring a book and/or a pillow!

This is a great option if you have plenty of time. These old, former British railcars clickety-clack along at their own pace. Depending on which train you book, Express, Rapid or Ordinary, it will take, more or less, a few hours to get to Pak Chong. Regardless, you are sure to be in for a treat.

Hua Lamphong train station in Bangkok is the main jump on point. It's very easy to find the correct ticket counter inside the station for Pak Chong. There is plenty of help available. There is easy access in Bangkok to the station by taxi or the MRT subway. Look for the wonderful display of the history of the train station along the inside corridor of the MRT Hua Lamphong stop.

Here is a helpful link from the State Rail of Thailand that shows the train numbers to and from Pak Chong. Google Maps looks good too, from which to see the train numbers.
